Why Most Diets Fail Before They Even Start (And What to Do Instead)

Before you start a diet tomorrow, I want you to consider one thing:

Can you realistically eat this way for the next few months?

Not perfectly. But consistently.

Because if the honest answer is no then you need to reconsider.

The Monday diet looks great on paper – full of protein, fruit + veg and minimal sweet treats.

You’ve done your big food shop in preparation, washed your gym clothes so they’re ready to do a solid week of training and get off to a really good start.

The diary is completely blocked out because you know one social occasion will set you back.

But how long can you actually live like that?

A couple of weeks, possibly a month.

Then the cravings hit, life gets in the way or you realise the plan never accounted for the Sunday family dinner or the weekly pub quiz.

So you’re back to square one.

Frustrated that you just can’t seem to stick to anything no matter how hard you try.

Most plans fail before they even start because they’re built for an imaginary version of your life.

You forgot to consider that when you’re tired you just want something quick and easy.

Or that you don’t really like half the food that you’ve bought but you’ve been told you need to eat a certain way to get results.

The Nutrition Blueprint is built around the real one.

You tell me about your lifestyle, your schedule & your habits. We figure out what’s actually getting in the way & build a plan around your life.

If that sounds like what you’ve been missing, fill out the form below & I’ll be in touch.

The number of times that you need to train to achieve results is probably less than you think. Life can get busy sometimes and it is completely normal for exercise to slightly fall down the priority list. However, going from training 4x a week to 2x a week can...

Can you drink alcohol and still lose weight?

Can you drink alcohol and still lose weight?

I’ve no research to support this claim but there’s probably a correlation between sunny weather and alcohol intake. With the sun (sometimes) making an appearance, the temptation to head off to a beer garden is probably quite high. However, I’d also like to think that...

What to do when Fat Loss stalls (Steph’s Story)

Most people think the worst part of fat loss is the hunger, sacrifices and saying no to meals out. In reality the hardest part is hitting a wall. Doing everything but not much is changing. That’s where Steph found herself this time last year. After losing an...
